About us
DUSA is a Nonprofit and non-partisan organization committed to the civic, social, and economic integration of Dominican-Americans into the fabric of American society. DUSA strives to ensure that every U.S. citizen is able to freely exercise their civic rights, realize their full potential, and capitalize on all the opportunities the U.S. has to offer. Our contribution to making this vision a reality begins with our work in the Dominican-American community.
Mission
Empowering the Dominican-American community and giving them a voice through civic, social, and economic engagement.
Background
DUSA first launched at end of 2013 with the goal to register, educate and mobilize Dominican-Americans to vote. DUSA has not only maintained but also expanded its position as a conduit for Dominican-Americans to access the valuable resources, services, and information that are necessary to their civic, social, and economic advancement in the United States.

Our Work
Voter Registration
DUSA has its roots firmly planted in efforts to register and mobilize Dominican-Americans to get-out-the-vote, often referred to as GOTV. Our approach is deploying a dedicated team of canvassers with roots in the communities they served. With hundreds of thousands of Dominican-Americans still eligible for registration, we continue our work exploring new cost-effective methodologies to expand our reach of Dominicans over the next years.
Voter Mobilization
Our GOTV work has supported efforts to mobilize Dominican voters in every election in New York since 2014.
