NDAR 77th Assembly District (Bronx County) and 3rd Congressional District Elections (Queens/Long Island County) Tuesday, February 13, 2024

In these General elections, you can choose and determine the future of our nation.
77th State Assembly District Special Election:
• The 77th State Assembly district is one of the 150 districts in the New York State Assembly.
• Latoya Joyner, a Democrat, was the most recent representative but resigned in January 2024.
• The seat is currently empty, and a special election is scheduled for February 13, 2024.
New York’s 3rd Congressional District Special Election:
• The special election for New York’s 3rd congressional district will also be held on February 13, 2024.
• This election is to fill the vacant seat in the United States House of Representatives for the remainder of the 118th United States Congress.
• The seat became vacant after the expulsion of George Santos on December 1, 2023.
The upcoming General elections for the New York City Council are set to take place on November 7th, 2023. This general election will be crucial as they will determine who will represent you on city council, also electing district attorneys and more.

Yes, to vote in the primary elections in NY you must be enrolled in a political party, since they are closed elections.
It’s the election before the election. In primary elections, you decide which candidate will be your party’s nominee for the general election. You must be a member of a political party to vote in a primary.
You can cast your vote at your designated polling location on Election Day, your designated early voting site, or from the comfort of your own home using an absentee ballot.

This election will not be using Ranked Choice Voting.
