Last night Dominicanos USA hosted its first ever Dominican American Artist Reception for the respected and prolific Bronx-based artist Persio Minier. Mr. Minier’s art has been located at the DUSA New York office since November 2015 and will be up until the end of the February. The artwork has been such a hit with visitors that DUSA wanted to celebrate his work by inviting the local community to enjoy the art over wine and music and have an opportunity to meet the artist himself.

Persio Miniers artwork covers themes such as Dominican-American cultural heritage, Dominican racial identity, and the immigrant struggle to assimilate to a new culture and climb the social ladder. We often touch upon similar themes as part of our message emphasizing civic participation and we hope that by partnering with artists like Mr Minier we can reach even more people with this message. Although this is DUSAs first foray into the arts, we have been pleased to host Mr Minier’s work, which exemplifies the empowerment of the Dominican American community that DUSA is committed to.

Please call the Dominicanos USA New York office for any information regarding art viewing or sales.
